This is a rare occasion. An uncontacted tribe in Brazil’s Amazon has been photographed by an airplane. These people have probably never seen an airplane, and know nothing of modern technology. In one photograph, they can be seen aiming arrows at the airplane, probably thinking it’s some kind of strange, noisy bird. It’s quite amazing that even though we have expanded across the Earth, there are still some 100 uncontacted tribes in the world. I can’t imagine how they would feel if they suddenly saw modern technology today. Sadly, they’re in danger from illegal logging, as well as diseases that they are unlikely to be immune to.
