Phoenix keeps having fun on Mars. It made a practice scoop, and we get a nice picture of the soil in the scoop. Take a close look at the image to the right of centre. That white stuff could be ice or salt. We won’t know what it could be until future scoops are analysed by the lander later this week. I love the quality of the pictures we’re getting from Phoenix!
